LAHAINA, Maui —
Maline Kraus and
Jasmine Wong both secured top-10 individual finishes Tuesday to lead the University of Hawai'i women's golf team in the final round of the 2026 Big West Championship at the Royal Kā'anapali Course.
The Rainbow Wahine closed with a final-round 292 to finish in seventh place with a 54-hole total of 890 (+26). Kraus and Wong each carded 1-under-par 71s in their final rounds to move into a tie for 10th place overall with three-day totals of 218 (+2).
Kraus, a native of Düsseldorf, Germany, bounced back from a challenging second round to record her third straight top-finish for the team. Wong remained remarkably consistent throughout the week, following an even-par opener and a 75 with her under-par finale.
Cal Poly claimed the team championship with a three-day total of 866 (+2), holding off runner-up UC Davis by six strokes. Long Beach State's Madison Le secured the individual title, finishing at 8-under-par 208 for the tournament.
Hawai'i showed significant improvement on the final day, shaving 13 strokes off their second-round score.
Sofina Firouzi finished in a tie for 27th place with a 226 (+10) total.
Chloe Ku and
Emiko Sverduk both carded 3-over 75s on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 36th with matching totals of 231 (+15).
The tournament concludes the 2025-26 campaign for the Rainbow Wahine. The week marked the fourth and final time UH hosted the conference championship as members of the Big West.
