LAHAINA, Maui — The University of Hawai'i women's golf team carded a second-round 305 on Monday and sits in seventh place at the 2026 Big West Championship. Hosting the tournament at the Royal Kā'anapali Course, the Rainbow Wahine hold a 36-hole total of 598 (+22) and remain within reach of their best conference finish since securing the co-championship in 2022.

Maline Kraus remain at the forefront for UH, currently tied for 11
th place individually with matching totals of 147 (+3). Wong turned in the team's low round of the day with a 3-over 75, while Kraus sits just outside the top 10 after following her opening 69 with a 78. Both golfers are just three strokes away from a top-five individual standing.
The Rainbow Wahine displayed grit throughout the second round, particularly on the par-4 12
th hole, where the team combined to play the hole at 1-under-par.
Emiko Sverduk provided a major spark for the UH lineup, bouncing back from an opening-round 80 to fire a 4-over 76, a four-stroke improvement that helped keep Hawai'i in contention with the middle of the pack.
Cal Poly surged into the team lead with a 294 for a 581 total (+5), holding a two-stroke edge over first-round leader UC Davis. Long Beach State's Madison Le remains the individual leader at 7-under-par. The Rainbow Wahine trail sixth-place CSUN by only two strokes and fifth-place Cal State Fullerton by six.

Sofina Firouzi remained steady during a challenging afternoon for the field, carding a 76 to move into a tie for 22
nd place.

The final round of the 54-hole championship concludes Tuesday with split-tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
