LONG BEACH, Calif. — The top-seeded University of Hawai'i water polo team continues its Big West Championship title defense against fourth-seeded UC Irvine in a semifinal match on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. HT (2:00 p.m. PT) at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Complex in Long Beach, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine defeated eighth-seeded UC Santa Barabara 18-6 in the quarterfinals, while UC Irvine earned a 22-14 victory over fifth-seeded UC San Diego to advance to the semifinal round. UH will face UCI for a fourth time this season with the 'Bows leading the season series 3-0. The winner advances to the final set for Sunday at 2 p.m. PT (11 a.m. HT) with the champion claiming the Big West's automatic bid to the National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championship (April 24-26, La Jolla, Calif.).

- Against UC Santa Barbara in the quarterfinals, Weston powered the offense with a team-high five goals. Temprano Xambó posted a season-high seven points with three goals and four assists and Ema Vernoux posted her sixth hat trick of the season.
