SERIES VS. HPU
UH leads, 33-2
Last Meeting: Apr. 1, 2025 at Les Murakami Stadium (UH won, 10-8)

DID YOU KNOW?
Hawai'i is one of just six teams to rank in the top 10 nationally in ERA (6th), WHIP (6th) and walks allowed per nine innings (10th). UH joins Auburn and Clemson as the only pitching staffs in the country to rank in the top 10 in each of those categories.

TROPICAL SWARM
The Rainbow Warrior pitching staff remains among the national leaders in a number of categories. UH is sixth in the country with a 2.97 ERA and sixth in WHIP (1.12). The 'Bows also sit in the top 15 nationally in walks allowed per nine innings (10th), shutouts (9th), walk percentage (8th) and hits allowed per nine innings (14th). Additionally, Hawai'i has held opponents to three or fewer runs in 13 of the 22 games, and six or fewer hits 10 times.

DII MIDWEEK SHOWDOWNS
The Rainbow Warriors will take on Hawai'i Pacific in the second of three games this season against the local Division II programs in the state. This marks the third consecutive year that UH will play all three Division II schools in Hawai'i. The 'Bows have won their last 17 games against the Division II teams dating back to 2016 and own a combined record of 154-23 against Chaminade, Hawai'i Pacific and Hawai'i Hilo. UH beat Chaminade, 15-0, on Mar. 10 and will host the Vulcans on Apr. 29.

7-8-9 IS 'BOW WARRIOR TIME
After a 2025 season that saw the Rainbow Warrior bats conjure up some late magic, the 'Bows have continued that trend into the new year. UH has won four games via go-ahead scoring plays in the eighth inning or later, including a pair of walk-off wins. Hawai'i has also outscored its opponents 32-18 in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings and is 10-0 when leading after six innings.

MAGINIFICENT MAGS
Isaiah Magdaleno has solidified himself as the ace of the Rainbow Warrior pitching staff through the first month of the season. The junior made the move from closer last year, to Friday night starter this year and has posted a 2.82 ERA over 38.1 innings with 44 strikeouts to just 12 walks in six starts. Magdaleno has worked at least five innings in all six outings and has given up just 24 hits all year while holding opponents to a .180 batting average.

» Third in the Big West with 44 strikeouts.
» Pitched eight innings and allowed just a run on three hits with six strikeouts at UCSB the last time out.
» Named Big West Pitcher of the Week after striking out 12 over 8.1 innings of two-hit ball, taking a shutout into the ninth inning before giving up an unearned run vs. Ball State on Feb. 26.

HILO'S FINEST
One of the biggest additions to the Rainbow Warrior pitching staff through six weeks has been junior Hekili Robello. The Hilo native and Santa Rosa JC transfer has gotten the game two start in each series in 2026, owning a 4-1 record. He currently has a 2.91 ERA in 34.0 innings with 36 strikeouts to just five walks.

» Named to the National Collegiate Pitcher of the Year watch list.
» Second in the Big West in strikeout-to-walk ratio (7.20) and third in WHIP (1.03).
» Took a shutout into the ninth inning and fanned eight over 8.1 innings, allowing a run on three hits in a win at UC Santa Barbara on Mar. 21.
» Worked six innings and struck out a career-high nine while walking just one vs. Wichita State on Feb. 20.
