IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team continues to receive recognition from the Big West Conference as two members were selected Players of the Week after the Rainbow Warriors' finished 2-1 in the OUTRIGGER Invitational last week.
 
Sophomore Kristian Titriyski was named Offensive Player of the Week while junior Tread Rosenthal received Setter of the Week for the seventh time this season and 12^th of his career. Titriyski was honored for the second time this season and fourth of his career.
 
The two honorees now bring UH's total Big West weekly award count to 18 this season.
 
The third-ranked Rainbow Warriors (17-3) begin Big West play this week with a two-match series with rival No. 2 Long Beach State, Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 in Long Beach, Calif.
 
Kristian Titriyski, Offensive Player of the Week
Team-high 33 total kills in three matches played in last week's OUTRIGGER Invitational … averaged 4.13 kills per set, hitting at a .411 clip … also averaged 1.25 digs per set and 0.88 blocks per set and tallied three aces … made his return to the lineup against Mount Olive after missing the last 11 matches … finished with 10 kills in two sets played - eight in the third set alone - with two aces, three digs, and three blocks in UH's straight-set win … posted nine kills, hitting .400 with an ace, three digs, and a block in two sets played in UH's loss to UCLA … finished the weekend with 14 kills, hitting .417 with four digs and three blocks in a win over Lewis.
 
Tread Rosenthal, Setter of the Week
Averaged 11.50 assists per set in three matches during the OUTRIGGER Invitational … directed UH to a team hitting percentage of .367 in the tournament … named to the all-tournament team … also totaled nine kills (0.90 avg.), 19 digs (1.90 avg.) and four blocks (0.40 avg.) in the three matches … offensively, had nine kills in 12 errorless attempts for a .750 percentage … tallied 36 assists, three kills, and six digs and led UH to a season-best .603 team hitting percentage in a straight-set win over Mount Olive …  had 46 assists, four kills, an ace, eight digs, and three blocks in a four-set win over Lewis … posted 33 assists, two kills, five digs, and a block against UCLA.
