IRVINE, Calif. — The fifth-ranked University of Hawai'i women's water polo team is set to compete in the Barbara Kalbus Invitational from Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Anteater Aquatics Complex in Irvine, Calif.
Along with the Rainbow Wahine, the eight-team pool features top-ranked Stanford, No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 USC, No. 4 Cal, No. 7 Long Beach State, host No. 11 UC Irvine, and No. 13 Fresno State.
UH opens the tournament against No. 4 Cal on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Hawai'i Time (1:30 p.m. Pacific Time). On Saturday, UH will face No. 1 Stanford or No. 11 UC Irvine at 10:00 a.m. HT (noon PT) or 1:00 p.m. HT (3:00 p.m. PT). UH will play its final game on Sunday with the opponent and time based on results from the previous round.

OPENING SPRINT
- UH opens the Barbara Kalbus Invitational on Friday, Feb. 13 with a rematch against No. 4 Cal.
- UH fell to Cal, 14-9, on Jan. 17, 2026 at the Fresno State Polopalooza in Fresno, Calif.
- UH will face top-ranked Stanford or host No. 11 UC Irvine on Saturday based on Friday's results.
- UH is 20-12 all-time at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational, posting a 3-1 record in each trip from 2023-25.
- In last season's Barbara Kalbus Invitational, UH defeated Indiana (10-6) and Cal (12-11) before falling to USC (14-7) in the semifinals. The 'Bows defeated UCLA (8-5) in the third-place match.
- UH remained at No. 5 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll following a bye week and posting a 3-1 record at the Triton Invitational.
- Agatha Weston leads the Rainbow Wahine with 19 goals and is tied with freshman Ariadna Tempranó Xambo with a team-high 21 points.
- Junior goalkeeper Daisy Logtens has recorded 43 saves in 184 minutes in the cage this season.
- Logtens is 37 saves away from 500 for her career.
