HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i football team steps out of league play for a nonconference road game at Arizona State of the Big 12 on Saturday, Oct. 10. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. MT (4:30 p.m. HT) at Mountain America Stadium. Hawai'i and Arizona State will meet for the eighth time ever and for first time since 2006. This is the first time since 1958 that the two teams will play in Tempe.

GAME STORYLINES
- Hawai'i and Arizona State will meet for the eighth time ever and for first time since 2006. This is the first time since 1958 that the two teams will play in Tempe.
- The Warriors are 2-5 all-time against the Sun Devils but have won the last two meetings.
- UH won 41-24 in the 2006 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl in the last meeting between the teams, when UH scored 38 second-half points and quarterback Colt Brennan threw for 559 yards and five TDs.
- In that Hawai'i Bowl win, wide receiver Jason Rivers also set a UH single-game and FBS bowl record with 308 receiving yards on 14 receptions with two touchdowns.
- The Warriors are 32-57 all-time against current members of the Big 12, with their last win over a team in the conference coming in 2020 when UH beat Houston, 28-14, in the New Mexico Bowl when the Cougars were members of the American Athletic Conference.
- Hawai'i won two games against power conference opponents in 2025, beating Stanford in the season opener before knocking off California in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl.
- UH has lost its last 18 games against Power Four opponents away from home, with its last win coming in a 2009 victory over Washington State at Lumen Field in Seattle.
- The Warriors have not won a true road game against a power conference school since 1994 when they knocked off California, 21-7 in Berkeley.
- Quarterback Micah Alejado is second nationally with 26.4 completions per game and 132 total pass completions. Alejado also leads the Mountain West in passing yards per game (272.2) and total offense (278.2).
- Alejado became the 11th Warrior quarterback to reach 5,000 career passing yards, moving into 10th all-time at UH in career passing (5,052). He is the fourth-fastest UH QB to reach 5,000 career passing yards in terms of games played (20) and fifth-fastest in terms of attempts (705).
- The inside receiver duo of Tama Uiliata and Kainoa "Kaikai" Carvalho are the only pair of teammates in the top five in the Mountain West in receptions. Uiliata is third in the conference with 27 receptions while Carvalho is tied for fourth with 22 catches
