HONOLULU – After enjoying a bye week, the University of Hawai'i football team returns to action with a Mountain West road game at Wyoming, Saturday, Sept. 26. Kickoff is 1:00 p.m. MT (9:00 a.m. HT) at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. The Rainbow Warriors defeated New Mexico State, 29-19, in their last outing, and now seek their first MW victory of the year after falling to UNLV on Sept. 5. The game will be the Mountain West opener for Wyoming.

GAME STORYLINES
- Hawai'i and Wyoming will play for the Paniolo Trophy when the teams meet for the 30th time.
- The Warriors are 12-17 all-time against the Cowboys and 4-5 as Mountain West opponents. UH is 4-9 all-time in Laramie with just one win in the last eight trips there.
- The Paniolo Trophy was established in 1979 and is the oldest of the four rivalry trophies that UH plays for. The term Paniolo is used to reference cowboys in Hawai'i, and the trophy was established by a group of Hawai'i residents with roots in Wyoming.
- UH owns possession of the Paniolo Trophy after winning last year's meeting, 27-7, in Honolulu in the regular season finale, holding Wyoming to its lowest point total in the history of the rivalry series.
- The two teams have met nine times as Mountain West members, with Wyoming owning a 5-4 edge in those matchups. The home team is 7-2 in the nine meetings as MW foes.
- UH enjoyed success in its two road trips to the mountains in 2025, beating both Air Force (44-35) and Colorado State (31-19) in high-altitude cities.
- Hawai'i earned its first win of the season the last time out with a 29-19 win over New Mexico State. UH scored the final 10 points of the game to win its sixth consecutive home nonconference game and ninth home non-league matchup in the last 10.
- QB Micah Alejado is coming off his best game of the early season, throwing for 346 yards on 33-of-45 passing in the win over New Mexico State. He is fourth in FBS with 27.0 completions per game and leads the Mountain West with 264.7 passing yards per game.
- Safety Kona Moore leads the team and is 12th in FBS with 30 total tackles. His 10.0 tackles per game also ranks 10th nationally and third in the conference.
- Wide receiver Tama Uiliata turned in a career game vs. New Mexico State, catching 10 passes for 107 yards while throwing a TD pass. He is the only FBS player this year with over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown pass in a single game.
- Running back DeVon Rice is the only Mountain West player with at least three rushing TDs and a receiving TD, after rushing for a pair of TDs the last time out vs. New Mexico State.
