The singles and doubles winners of the Big West Fall Selection Event will get an automatic bid into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Conference Masters event, which is one of four events to qualify for the NCAA Championships. The Top 4 singles and Top 3 doubles teams from the ITA Conference Masters tourney will advance to the NCAA Championships which will be held in Orlando, Fla. beginning on Nov. 18th.
In this past week's UH Ānuenue Invitational, the Rainbow Wahine played well against cross-town rival Hawai'i Pacific. UH won 130of015 singles matches and eight-of-none doubles matches. Three UH players each went 3-0 to lead the Rainbow Wahine--senior
Allaire Berl, sophomore
Makeilah Nepomuceno, and newcomer, senior transfer from Concordia-Irvine,
Sophie Rachor. UH's only doubles pairing to win all three matches last week was the duo of junior
Hannah Galindo and Nepomuceno. Making her Rainbow Wahine on the final day of the tourney was true freshman,
Grete Gull of Kuressaare, Estonia. Gull won both her singles and doubles matches to begin her UH career.
