HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance, sweeping all six full matches against Hawai'i Pacific on Friday at the UH Tennis Complex on Day 2 of the UH Anuenue Invitational.

The Rainbow Wahine asserted control early against Hawaii Pacific, as the teams wrapped up the first-round singles matches that got washed out by heavy rains on Thursday. The 'Bows then carried that momentum straight into Round 2. In the first round of singles matches, Hawai'i's Makeilah Nepomuceno swept the Sharks' Evi Roobol, 6-4, 6-2, while UH's Grete Gull edged out HPU's Rosa Viller Moeller in a second set tie-breaker for a 6-2, 7-6 (1) victory. Rookie Malgorzata Bajorek cruised in the first set then hung on to sweep Willow Dymkowski by a break, 6-1, 6-4. UH's Emma Forgac won her only set played against Nicol Nowak, 6-4.

In Round 2, Nepomuceno notched her second win of the day in straight sets over HPU's Kaia Sperry, 6-2, 6-2. UH's Gull raced past the Sharks' Chelsea Campbell, 6-2, 6-0, and UH's Bajorek notched her second singles win as a Rainbow Wahine, defeating Sara White, 6-0, 6-3.

The 'Bows and Sharks conclude the UH Anuenue Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 8:30 a.m. HT at the UH Tennis Complex.
