SAN FRANCISCO/STANFORD, Calif. – The Hawai'i women's track and field team closed out its weekend in the Bay Area by logging more program top 10 marks at the Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Classic Saturday.
Tara Wyllie improved her already second-best triple jump mark in school history, posting a jump of 12.93m (42-5.25) at the Stanford Invitational to move just 0.11m away from matching the school record of 13.04m set by Amanda Alvarez in 2013.
Emilie Kirk Langschwager kicked off the morning at the Mike Fanelli Classic with a PR in the mile, running a 4:56.88 to move into No. 2 on UH's all-time outdoor mile top 10 list.
Zola O'Donnell took home the win in the 2 Mile run, blowing away the field with a time of 11:08.57 while
Kira Moe joined her in the top 10, placing fourth after stopping the clock in 11:52.42.
The UH 4x400m relay squad of
Marissa Crane,
Catherine Touchette,
Amelie Fairclough and
Isabella Kneeshaw delivered the sixth-fastest time in program history, running a 3:46.43.
A day after placing fourth at the Stanford Invitational in the pole vault,
Helen Hoadley returned to action at the Mike Fanelli Classic and took home the victory clearing 3.95m (12-11.50) to cap off her weekend.
Deiona Carter led the way for the UH sprinters at the Mike Fanelli Classic, running a personal best in the 100m dash with a time of 12.56 to finish fifth in the meet.
The Rainbow Wahine continue the outdoor season at the Bryan Clay Invitational Apr. 17-18 in Azusa, Calif.
