HONOLULU – Coming off a series win, Hawai'i gets set to host national powerhouse and No. 7 Oregon State Friday through Monday at Les Murakami Stadium.
The first three games of the nonconference series are already sold out, as UH looks to boost the program's standing nationally against its first top-10 opponent since 2022. The 'Bows lead the all-time series 16-8, and will meet for the first time since a four-game series in 2010.

ANOTHER RANKED SHOWDOWN
The Rainbow Warriors will be taking on their third different ranked opponent this year, and will have played 10 games vs. ranked teams by the end of the weekend. The 10 matchups against ranked teams will be the most UH has had in a season since 2016 (10). The No. 7 Beavers will be the highest ranked team that the 'Bows will host at Les Murakami Stadium since 2022 (No. 5 Vanderbilt). UH's last series win vs. a top-10 team came in 2014 at No. 10 UC Santa Barbara.
TROPICAL SWARM
After leading the nation in ERA in 2024, the Rainbow Warrior pitching staff has again positioned themselves as one of the elite groups nationally. UH is 20th in ERA (4.06), 14th in BB allowed/9 innings (3.40) and 16th in WHIP (1.28). UH is also 30th in hits allowed per nine innings (8/15) and 31st in opponent batting average (.242).
Isaiah Magdaleno ranks seventh nationally in K/BB ratio (7.57) and is in the top 25 in BB allowed/9 innings (23rd) and WHIP (25th).
7-8-9 IS 'BOW WARRIOR TIME
Hawai'i has made a habit of winning the late innings over the first 42 games of the season. The Rainbow Warriors are outscoring teams 95-59 from the seventh inning on, highlighted by a 30-11 advantage in the ninth inning. Additionally, UH is 19-1 when leading after the sixth inning and has won nine games when tied or trailing heading into the final three frames.

The Rainbow Warriors have enjoyed massive success in Sunday games under head coach
Rich Hill - especially at home. Dating back to last season, UH has won 12 of its last 13 Sunday home games and are outscoring teams 111-34 over that stretch. This year, the 'Bows are 6-1 at home on Sundays and are outscoring teams 60-15 in those games, holding opponents to five or fewer runs in all of those contests. During Hill's tenure, UH is 34-14 in Sunday games with a 22-6 mark at home.
LAHAINA GROWN
Lahaina native and senior first baseman
Ben Zeigler-Namoa has become a mainstay in the middle of the Hawai'i lineup. Zeigler-Namoa leads the team with a .340 batting average, 15 doubles and 40 RBIs. He also leads UH in conference play with a .350 batting average and 21 RBIs to go along with 10 doubles. Zeigler-Namoa is the team's active career leader with 91 RBIs and has made starts at five different positions throughout his career.

GO-TO GUYS
The Rainbow Warriors have relied upon a group of nine arms that have emerged as go-to guys throughout the season. Those nine are the only ones on the staff with at least 15.0 innings pitched on the year, with six of them pitching at least 30.0 frames.

Itsuki Takemoto is the only pitcher to start a game in all 11 weekend series, spending the last seven in the Friday night role. The sophomore from Japan owns a 36-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio in Big West play.

Cooper Walls owns a 3.60 ERA and 26 strikeouts to six walks over 35.0 innings in league play and earned Big West Pitcher of the Week honors following after a Mar. 16 performance vs. UCSB.

Liam O'Brien leads the nation with just 3.43 hits allowed per nine innings and is first in the country with a .122 batting average against. He's given up just 16 hits over 42.0 innings pitched.
