Rainbow Warriors Open Eight-Game Homestand Tuesday

HONOLULU – Hawai'i returns home from a two-week road trip to open an eight-game homestand with a Tuesday matchup against Chaminade.
 
The Rainbow Warriors will play 11 of their last 14 games of the regular season at Les Murakami Stadium as they look to make a push for the postseason. UH has won both all-time meetings with the Silverswords, including a 9-4 win earlier this season on March 11.

The Rainbow Warriors have enjoyed major success under head coach Rich Hill in the months of April and May, going 64-34 in the final two months of the season under his leadership. UH is also 47-21 after Tax Day (Apr. 15) under Hill.
 
7-8-9 IS 'BOW WARRIOR TIME
Hawai'i has owned the late innings over the course of the first 38 games, outscoring teams 85-50 from the seventh inning on. UH has been especially good in the ninth inning, currently holding a 30-6 advantage in the final frame. Additionally, the Rainbow Warriors are 16-0 when leading after the sixth inning. UH has also won five games when trailing heading into the ninth inning, and four games when tied going into the last.
 
TROPICAL SWARM
After leading the nation in ERA in 2024, the Rainbow Warrior pitching staff has again positioned themselves as one of the elite groups nationally. UH is 19th in ERA (3.95), 14th in BB allowed/9 innings (3.38) and 13th in WHIP (1.25). UH is also 22nd in hits allowed per nine innings (7.85) and 23rd in opponent batting average (.234). Isaiah Magdaleno has led the way for the pitching staff out of the bullpen ranking in the top 15 nationally in WHIP (2nd), K/BB ratio (6th) and walks allowed per nine innings (13th).
 
MAGINIFICENT MAGS
Isaiah Magdaleno has solidified himself as one of the top bullpen arms in the country in 2025. The sophomore ranks among the nation's leaders in several major pitching categories and has been relied on heavily to pitch multiple innings late in close games. Magdaleno is also one of just seven players in the country to have at least four wins and five saves and has pitched multiple innings in 11 of his 14 appearances. He also in the top 25 nationally in several major statistical categories.
 
MIURA HEATING UP
Hawai'i center fielder Matthew Miura has led the way offensively for the Rainbow Warriors in recent weeks and is now first on the team with a .326 batting average. Over the last 19 games, Miura is hitting .400 (28-for-70) with 17 runs scored and five doubles and nine multi-hit games over that stretch. He currently leads the Big West with 30 walks and is tied for third with 13 stolen bases while hitting .412 with runners in scoring position.
