QUICK HITSLAST WEEK
For just the third time since 1986, the Rainbow Wahine were able to win a series at Cal State Fullerton. UH won the opener, 11-6 on Friday night. But the Titans shut out the 'Bows to open Saturday's doubleheader, 5-0. Hawai'i however came-from-behind, scoring five runs in the top of the seventh to propel past the Titans for a 6-2 win to clinch the series victory. In the series, UH starter Addison Kostrencich went 2-0, while Chloe Borges led the 'Bows at the plate hitting .500 (4-for-8) with three doubles, three runs, and two RBI.

GOSHI SPARKS COMEBACK AT TITANS
Junior outfielder Larissa Goshi came in off the bench to spark UH's comeback win to end the series at Cal State Fullerton. Goshi went 3-for-3 for the game. In her first at-bat, she hit a single to short tin the fifth and was part of the rally for UH to score its first run of the game. Then she led off the five-run seventh inning with a bunt single that started the epic rally that clinched the series. UH batted around the order and Goshi actually had two singles in the seventh inning alone. On defense, she caught the first and third outs in rightfield to end the game.

DEFENSE CONTINUES TO LEAD BIG WEST
Hawai'i's .975 team fielding percentage continues to lead the conference and is ranked 20th in the NCAA DI. Overall, UH has made 676 putouts with 246 assists and 24 errors thus far. At home, UH has a .981 fielding percentage with 459 putouts, 157 assists and 12 errors. But UH has a .960 fielding percentage in their six away games with 120 putouts, 47 assists and seven errors committed.

MARTINEZ SETTING TABLE AT LEADOFF
Senior catcher Izabella Martinez is currently on a six-game hitting streak and leads UH with an overall betting average of .352 with a team-best 37 hits, nine doubles and 19 walks. In conference play, Martinez is hitting at a .378 clip with a team-high 14 hits. She has been the leadoff batter the entire season and has reached base safely in 31 games--including the last six straight. She started the season reaching base safely in the first 15 consecutive games. On defense, she has started every game at catcher and has made just one error for a .993 fielding percentage. She has thrown out nine runners trying to steal on her. Martinez is one of the few catchers who calls her own game.

McGAUGHEY, MURAKAMI CONSISTENT AT THE PLATE
Both Jamie McGaughey and Carys Murakami are hitting an identical .307 (27-for-88) at the plate. McGaughey is having a standout season, leading UH with eight home runs, 17 runs scored (tied with Liliana Thomas), and 23 RBI. She is also tops on the team with a .659 slugging percentage.

Murakami has scored the second most runs (16) thus far and two doubles, 10 RBI and leads UH with four sacrifice bunts and four stolen bases.
