HONOLULU — Jordan Wedderburn's five-goal performance last Saturday earned the University of Hawaii senior her second Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award of the season on Wednesday.

Wedderburn scored three of her match-high five goals in the fourth quarter to help the third-ranked Rainbow Wahine separate from No. 25 Pacific in a 15-8 victory at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex on March 22. She scored on five of her six shots (83.3%), while also recording a steal and drawing four exclusions.

Wedderburn has posted at least three goals in eight contests this season and ranks second on the team with 44 goals. She also picked up the Big West weekly award on Feb. 5 following the Triton Invitational and this week's honor is the third of her career.

The Rainbow Wahine (14-3, 3-0 Big West) remained at No. 3 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Women's Varsity Top 25 and at No. 4 in the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches poll. UH continues their four-match homestand on Saturday, March 29 by taking on No. 16 UC Davis (12-11, 2-1) in a Big West matchup at the DKAC. The opening sprint is set for 6 p.m.
