NEWS & NOTES
- A new-look UH team ran away from Pomona-Pitzer in a 101-51 exhibition victory last Saturday, Oct. 18.
- With eight newcomers in the rotation, the Rainbow Warriors shot 59.7% from the field and assisted on 23 of 40 made field goals in their public debut ahead of the 2025-26 season.
- Six UH players scored in double figures led by center Isaac Johnson and guard Dre Bullock, who each finished with 18 points and shot a combined 14-for-16 from the field.
- Tanner Cuff, who celebrated the birth of a daughter with his wife Jessica just four days before the game, filled the stat sheet with eight points and a team-high eight rebounds and seven assists.
- Senior forward Harry Rouhliadeff will serve as team captain this season. The program's lone returning starter and the only four-year player on the team scored 15 points in UH's exhibition win over Pomona-Pitzer.
- UH and Chaminade will meet in exhibition action for the third straight season. The 'Bows defeated Swords, 85-80, in Pukalani, Maui last year.
- UH was picked third in the Big West preseason poll as voted on by the league's coaches. UH is the highest-ranked Big West team in the preseason, according to KenPom.
- This will mark the 14th and final season for Hawai'i men's basketball in the Big West. Starting in the 2026-27 season, UH will be a full-time member of the Mountain West. The Rainbow Warriors have had just one losing mark in its previous 13 seasons of Big West play.
- UH sports an extremely experienced squad with UH's six D1 transfers having played a combined 513 games (an average of 86 games each). The average age of the squad is 23 years old and 3 months when the regular-season starts in early November.
- After years of sporting one of college basketball's most geographically diverse squads, Hawai'i will have just three international players in 2025-26 – Gytis Nemeikša (Lithuania), Harry Rouhliadeff (Australia) and Yacine Toumi (France).
- Former NBA champion and five-time Olympian Patty Mills joined the Rainbow Warriors basketball program this past summer as the team's General Manager. A resident of Hawai'i for more than a decade, Mills initiated the Roots & Reach program to create team unity and initiate community outreach.
