  NEWS & NOTES

  • The Rainbow Warriors return one starter and four letterwinners from last year's squad that went 15-16.
  • Among the returnees is last year's leading scorer in Gytis Nemeikša who averaged 12.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while playing the majority of his minutes off the bench.
  • Senior forward Harry Rouhliadeff (6.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg), the team's lone returning starter and only four-year player, along with sophomore guards Aaron Hunkin-Claytor (team-high 2.5 apg) and AJ Economou are the team's other returning players.
  • UH welcomes nine newcomers this year - six Division I transfers, a Division II transfer, a junior college transfer and one prep player. The Division I transfers include a trio of Utah natives in Tanner Cuff (Evansville), Hunter Erickson (Utah) and Isaac Johnson (Utah State).
  • UH sports an extremely experienced squad with UH's six D1 transfers having played a combined 513 games (an average of 86 games each). The average age of the squad is 23 years old and 3 months when the regular-season starts in early November.
  • After year's of sporting one of college basketball's most geographically diverse squads, Hawai'i will have just three international players in 2025-26 – Gytis Nemeikša (Lithuania), Harry Rouhliadeff (Australia) and Yacine Toumi (France).
  • Former NBA champion and five-time Olympian Patty Mills joined the Rainbow Warriors basketball program this past summer as the team's General Manager. A resident of Hawai'i for more than a decade, Mills initiated the Roots & Reach program to create team unity and initiate community outreach.
  • This will mark the 13th and final season for Hawai'i men's basketball in the Big West. Starting in the 2026-27 season, UH will be a full-time member of the Mountain West. The Rainbow Warriors have had just one losing mark in its previous 12 seasons of Big West play.
