  • UH has won three of the last four dating back to 2019.
  • UH was idle last week while BYU dropped a two-match series with No. 2 UC Irvine in Irvine, Calif. The Cougars dropped the first match in five sets and the rematch in straight sets.

  • The teams last played in Provo at the 2019 BYU Invitational which UH won in straight sets to capture the tournament title and snap a 15-match losing streak in Smith Fieldhouse.
  • The teams also played during the 2020 campaign, splitting a two-match series in Honolulu which ended up being the last matches played that year before the pandemic halted the season.
  • UH's four wins in Provo occurred in 1995, 2001, '03, and '19.
