HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team will face UC Irvine in the semifinals of the OUTRIGGER Big West Championship Friday, April 19 at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Match time is 7:00 p.m. The third-seded Rainbow Warriors (23-6) advanced to the semifinals after a 3-1 win over UC Santa Barbara in Thursday's quarterfinals while the second-seeded Anteaters (18-9) earned a bye into the semis. UH and UCI have met three times this season with UH holding a 2-1 advantage.

• Hawai'i leads the all-time series with UC Irvine, 50-23, including a 3-2 advantage in postseason play.
• UCI snapped a 15-match losing streak in the series with a straight-set win in Irvine on April 5. The streak had dated back to 2018.
• UH holds a 26-9 advantage in Honolulu, including a current seven-match home win streak dating back to 2019.
• UH and UCI have met in the Big West Championship tournament three times, twice in the semifinals (2018 & '19) and once in the championship match (2023). Hawai'i won all three match-ups.
