LIHU'E, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team finished in 15
th place after Tuesday's final round of the 38
th Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Ocean Course Hokuala.
The Rainbow Wahine carded a 302 on Tuesday and finished the tournament with at 911 total. Arizona State ran away with its third Donnis Thompson Invitational title with a 42-under 822 total after a final round 276. North Carolina and Washington tied for runner-up at 17-under 847. Two-time defending tournament champion Sacramento State tied for fourth at 863.
ASU's 822 total smashed its own 54-hole tournament scoring record of 852 set in 2020 at the Kāne'ohe Klipper Golf Course on O'ahu. ASU's Ashley Menne took medalist honors with a new tournament-record 14-under 202, one stroke ahead of Washington's Camille Boyd, who finished at 13-under 203. Menne was ASU's third individual medalist in tournament history and broke the previous mark of 207 held by Texas A&M's Maddie Szeryk in 2017, also held at Klipper.
UH's top finisher was
Emiko Sverduk, who carded a 1-over 73 on Tuesday for a 6-over 222 total and tie for 47
th place.
Jordyn Parr also shot 73 and finished in a tie for 58
th place at 8-over 224. Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were
Wendy Song (75=228, t-71

Kellie Yamane (81-237, 88
th), and
Monica Johnson (93=268, 94
th).
UH will next compete in the Fresno State Classic, March 25-26 in Fresno, Calif.
