LIHU'E, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed the first round of the 38
th Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational with a 307 Sunday at Ocean Course Hokuala.
Emiko Sverduk carded the low round of the day for the Rainbow Wahine with a 3-over 75 and is tied for 48
th place. As a team, UH sits in 14
th place in the 15-team field.
Arizona State holds a narrow lead in the team standings after a first round 280 followed by Sacramento State (281), North Carolina (282), Washington (285), and Fresno State (286).
Texas State's Mattingly Palmer, competing as an individual, has the clubhouse lead at 6-under 66 while a group of three golfers are one stroke back – Washington's Camille Boyd, North Carolina's Megan Steicher, and Sac State's Ella Kraft.
