HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i football program announced the addition of three more prospects for the Class of 2024 during the regular signing period - offensive lineman Elijah Henderson, linebacker Matteus Ioane, and defensive end Daniel Faletoi - bringing the total number of signees for the class to 21. 

• 12 signees are on the offensive side of the ball and nine on defense
• Nine signees are from the hometown state of Hawai'i
• Six signees are from the "Ninth Island", including quarterback Micah Alejado of national champion Bishop Gorman HS
• 11 signees play in the trenches – six on the defensive line and five on the offensive line
• Six offensive skill positions

Homegrown Talent: Seven of the state of Hawai'i's Top 20 high school prospects, according to 247Sports, inked with UH, including two of the Top 10 – DE Nazaiah Caravallo of Campbell High and DE Noah Wily of Saint Louis School. Caravallo was the consensus top-ranked linebacker in the state while Wily held offers from a number of Pac-12 schools. DE Tristan Waiamau-Galindo recorded 12.5 sacks as a senior at Kamehameha Schools-Kapālama. TE Frank Kahoa Abreu tallied 1,846 career receiving yards at Kamehameha Schools-Maui. OL Tu'i Muti of Punahou School won Cover2's Olin Kreutz Award as the state's lineman of the year while Punahou teammate LB Alika Cavaco-Amoy was a three-year starter for one of the state's top defenses. OL Joshua Tavui anchored the offensive line for the state's top passing offense at Campbell for the past two seasons.
 
Hitting the Jackpot: The Las Vegas to Honolulu pipeline continued with six signees in this year's class, including two Power 5 transfers in Fabian Ross of USC and Cam Barfield of Boston College, both of powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School. Ross was a consensus four-star prospect at Gorman while Barfield appeared in 10 games over two seasons at BC. QB Micah Alejado led Gorman to a MaxPreps national title in 2023 and threw for 9,233 yards and 125 touchdowns in his career. Las Vegas native DL Dion Washington spent three seasons at Mountain West member Nevada, where he appeared in 27 games and was among the conference's top-graded interior linemen. RB Christian Vaughn rushed for 1,806 yards and 21 touchdowns in two seasons at Butte College after prepping at Desert Oasis HS in Las Vegas. In addition, WR Armando Lewis Jr. starred at North Las Vegas' Canyon Springs HS, where he was a standout at both wide receiver and defensive back and two-time state track champion in the 110-meter hurdles.
 
All in the Family: WR Jarvis Heimuli is the younger brother of UH receiver Pofele Ashlock, who was a freshman All-American in 2023. Heimuli prepped at Trinity High in Euless, Texas, where he finished his career with 73 catches for 1,433 yards and nine touchdowns in a run-heavy offense.
 
In the Trenches: OL Jay Tauala-Harris of Lakewood High was rated among the top offensive line prospects in the state of California and first-team all-league while OL Christian Perry anchored one of the top junior college offenses in two seasons at Riverside City College. DL Alvin Puefua was the top-ranked defensive line prospect in the state of Utah out of West High School with offers from several Power 5 programs. OL Elijah Henderson played for one of the top high schools in California at Serra High while DL Daniel Faletoi was a two-time all-OIA selection at Roosevelt High School.
