  • UH has won the last nine matches in the series dating back to 2017. Eight of the nine wins were in straight sets. In addition, UH has won seven straight in Honolulu dating back to 2013 with its last loss occurring Feb. 1, 2013.
  • UH (8-1) has a current seven-match win streak entering this week's series while the Cardinal (7-1) saw their seven-match win streak to start the season snapped in a home loss to CSUN last Saturday.
  • The teams will be playing their fourth non-conference series since 2019, having met in Honolulu in 2019 and in Stanford, Calif., in 2020 and '23.
  • UH's Charlie Wade (15th season) has the sixth-most wins among active coaches with 277 while Stanford's John Kosty (18th season) ranks eighth among active coaches with 253 victories,
  • Hawai'i and Stanford have played two common opponents this season, Loyola-Chicago and Ball State. The Cardinal went 3-0 against those teams while UH went 2-1, splitting a two-match series with Loyola-Chicago.
  • UH is 5-1 at home this season while Stanford is 2-0 on the road, the latter sweeping a two-match series at UC Santa Barbara last month.
  • UH has a 33-match win streak in the month of February dating back to 2018. Of the 33 wins, 19 occurred at home, including last week's two-match series against Tusculum. Hawai'i's last loss in February was against UC Irvine, Feb. 25, 2018 at SimpliFi Arena.
  • Since the Big West created a men's volleyball league in 2018, UH has a 26-5 record against MPSF teams.
  • OH Spyros Chakas needs two aces to move into the school's Top 10 in career aces. Currently the senior has 97 aces. Naveh Milo is 10th with 99.
