The Rainbow Wahine have added 21 new school top 10 marks to the indoor top list over the first three meets of indoor season while setting a pair of school records. Additionally, UH heads into the championships with nine top-three marks including a pair of top marks in the triple jump and high jump.
Â
UH has posted two of its best-ever finishes at the MPSF Indoor Championships in the last two seasons, finishing third in 2022 and fourth in 2023. A pair of Rainbow Wahine athletes will also look to defend their conference titles this week as
Alyssa Mae Antolin will look to go back-to-back in the 200m dash while
Lilian Turban eyes a repeat in the high jump.
Â
Antolin and Turban have each claimed MPSF Athlete of the Week honors following UH's last two meets. Antolin took home the honor after blowing away the field in the 200m at the UW Invite while Turban earned the recognition after setting a PR and winning the high jump in her first meet of the season at the Husky Classic.
Â
Tara Wyllie heads into the conference championships leading the MPSF in the triple jump with the No. 2 mark in school history at 12.44m. The sophomore from Australia also is fifth in UH history in the 60m hurdles and heads into the weekend seventh in the conference.
Â
The Rainbow Wahine throwers have also enjoyed a productive indoor season, heading into the meet with four of the top 10 marks in the shot put and two of the top six in the weight throw.
Hallee Mohr added top 10 program performances in the both events while
Samaria Vital and
Rose Forshaw are third and sixth in the MPSF in the shot put.
Â
Other standout performers include freshman
Isabella Kneeshaw, who sits in the top five at UH in the 60m, 200m and 400m, while
Amy Warrington has set PRs to move into the top six in the 60m and 200m.
Â
Carlin McFadden owns the sixth-best indoor 800m time in program history while
Emilie Kirk Langschwager sits in the top 10 at UH in both the mile and 3000m.
Sammie Gordon sits in second place in the MPSF in the high jump behind Turban and will look to build on her bronze-medal finish in the pentathlon a year ago.
Â
Following this weekend's conference championships, Hawai'i will send any NCAA qualifiers to the NCAA Indoor Championships, Mar. 8-9 in Boston, while also preparing for the start of outdoor season Mar. 15-16 at the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento.
