— The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team UH plays its fifth of six straight home games to start the season when it takes on No. 10 North Carolina on Friday in a nationally-televised game.
Friday's game will be a
"Whiteout" as all UH fans are encouraged to wear white in support of the Rainbow Warriors. The team will also be debuting special floral jerseys for the game.

The game is sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines and among the giveaways will be 2,000 roster cards, 1,000 hand flags, and temporary face tattoos to show your spirit. Be on the lookout after each made three-pointer by UH, as the Bowhana marketing team will be tossing shakas to fans from Hawaiian Airlines. Three lucky fans will be selected for a halftime competition to win Moana 2 tickets or Moana 2 swag bag.

GAME STORY LINES
- This will be the sixth all-time meeting between the teams and first since 2016. The teams were originally slated to play in Honolulu in Nov. 2020 but that game was canceled due to COVID-19.
- This will be UH's first meeting against a ranked squad since a 72-61 loss to No. 21 Washington in December 2019. It's the longest stretch of not having played a ranked team in UH's modern era (since 1970).
- The 'Bows are off to a 4-0 start for the second straight year after a 73-68 overtime win over Weber State on Sunday.
- Graduate transfer Tanner Christensen scored a team-high 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting and is the reigning Big West Player of the Week. He leads the team at 17.5 ppg and is shooting 77 percent from the floor (26-of-34).
- UNC comes to Honolulu with a 2-1 mark with its lone loss coming at Kansas, 92-89. The Tar Heels, averaging 95.3 ppg, are led by All-American guard R.J. Davis who is scoring at a 17.7 point clip.
- UH ranks ninth nationally in least turnovers per game (9.0) and 32nd in field goal percentage (.514) and free throw attempts per game (27.0)
- UH has won 10 straight home games dating back to last season
- Following its game versus North Carolina, UH will conclude its season-opening homestand with a game vs. cross-town rival Hawaii Pacific on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m.
