SEATTLE – The Hawai'i women's track & field wrapped up action at the UW Invite Saturday with more program top 10 performances and personal bests.
Isabella Kneeshaw continued her strong start to her collegiate career, posting yet another program top five mark. The freshman moved into No. 3 all-time at UH in the 400m with a 56.59 to finish third in the race and become just the third woman in school history to run a sub-57 second 400m.
A pair of Rainbow Wahine throwers posted PRs and program top-10 times in the shot put.
Samaria Vital delivered a huge PR on her final throw with a toss of 14.09m to move into eighth all-time at UH and finish third in the meet.
Rose Forshaw finished fifth with a personal best of her own on a 13.96m throw on her first attempt, improving upon her No. 9 mark in school history.
The Hawai'i 4x400m relay team of
Amy Warrington, Kneeshaw, Hallee Hamilton and
Sammie Gordon took over the No. 4 spot on the UH indoor top 10 list, running a 3:51.76 to finish third in the meet.
Helen Hoadley got her 2024 indoor season off to a strong start, winning her flight of the pole vault at 3.80m. Freshmen
Alizee Garcia Parsons and
Zola O'Donnell led a group of six Rainbow Wahine in the mile, with Garcia Parsons running a 5:17.66 and O'Donnell a 5:17.86.
The Rainbow Wahine return home before heading back to Seattle in two weeks for the Husky Classic, Feb. 9-10.
