Women’s Golf Back On The Continent For Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team returns to the continent for the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, which runs Oct. 2-3 at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash.

The ninth annual tournament is hosted by Seattle U. and features 21 teams. Participants will play 54 holes, 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the 6,087-yard, par-72 track. Shotgun start begins at 8:00 a.m. PT both days.

"Tacoma Golf and Country Club is a great course and will be a good challenge for the team," head coach Julie Brooks said. "Washington is beautiful this time of year and I love taking teams to different style courses. I think it helps them become better players!"

The Rainbow Wahine will send a contingent of Emiko Sverduk, Jordyn Parr, Focus Jonglikit, Wendy Song, and Kellie Yamane, the latter of whom will be making her UH debut after transferring from Hawai'i Pacific, where she competed for two seasons.

UH is coming off a 10th place finish at the season-opening Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic last week in Fort Collins, Colo. Sverduk was the team's top finisher, tying for 30th place with a 221 total.

Hawai'i made one previous appearance in the Harbottle Invitational, placing ninth in 2019 with a 902 total.
