LA JOLLA, Calif.- The No. 5 University of Hawai'i women's water polo team (16-3, 3-0 BWC) returns to the road to face No. 18 UC San Diego (9-15, 1-2 BW) on March 30, Cal State Fullerton (10-15, 0-3 BW) on March 31, and No. 4 UCLA (15-4) on April 2.
The Rainbow Wahine took down two top-10 opponents this past weekend, including No. 9 Long Beach State and No. 3 Cal. Leading the 'Bows is freshman
Bia Mantellato Dias, with 58 goals and a 3.05 goals per match average.
Alba Bonamusa Boix follows in a close second with 40 goals and 2.11 goals per match average.
Junior goalkeeper
Bridget Layburn recorded 121 saves this season so far, as well as tallying the winning goal in the match against No. 3 Cal this past weekend.
Earlier this season, UH and UC San Diego played each other at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational on February 24, where UH claimed victory 17-7. The 'Bows will travel to Fullerton to face the Titans for the first time in program history. The 'Bows last faced the Bruins at the Triton Invitational on February 4, where they were defeated 12-8.
