HONOLULU – The Hawai'i cross country team heads back out on the road for one final tune-up before postseason competition at the Bronco Invitational Saturday in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine will send a squad of eight athletes to compete in the 6k race that will get underway at 6 a.m. HT.

UH is coming off of its third meet victory of the season after a clean sweep of the HPU Invitational in which the 'Bows claimed the top nine individual spots. Freshman
Emilie Kirk Langschwager won for the first time in her career on the way to earning Big West Athlete of the Week honors, crossing the line in 22:10 – over a minute ahead of the runner-up.
Another true freshman,
Jessica Duran, has been one of UH's top two finishers in all four meets she has competed in after placing second last Saturday with a mark of 23:27.
Tania Tan turned in her best finish of the season, coming in right behind Duran in third place with a time of 23:31, putting her in the Hawai'i top five for the third straight meet.
Two more true freshmen,
Zola O'Donnell and
Abby Crossley have finished in UH's top five in all four of their outings as O'Donnell placed fourth at the HPU Invitational while Crossley finished fifth.
Following the Bronco Invitational, the Rainbow Wahine will get set for the postseason starting with the Big West Championships on Oct. 27 in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
