Brittnee Rossi was recognized with her first career Field Player of the Week award after a stellar Senior Day, while
Brianna Lopez earned her third conference weekly award after after shutting out the Titans for a 0.00 ERA in three appearances.
Rossi, a fifth-year senior from Hollister, Calif., saved the best for her final homestand at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. She led UH for the weekend with team-highs of a .500 (4-for-8) batting average, an .875 slugging percentage, a .636 on-base percentage while drawing a team-best three walks. In addition to blasting her 16th career home run against the Titans, Rossi scored a team-high four runs. In the second game of the series, Rossi tallied a season-high three hits, going 3-for-4 at the plate and tying her career-high with three runs scored in an 13-11, extra inning, slugfest win. Nawai Kaupe double in a 2-0 shutout to seal the sweep. Rossi is the second Rainbow Wahine in three weeks to garner Field Player of the Week honors after Kaupe won the award on April 25th.

Brianna Lopez played a significant role in all three victories over the weekend. She posted a pair of wins and a save while shutting the Titans down with a 0.00 ERA in 12.1 innings of work to claim her second Big West Freshman of the Week award. She threw a complete game shutout in the opener, tossing seven innings with five strikeouts as Hawai'i won the pitchers' duel, 1-0. In the second game, Lopez came in relief and threw the final 2.1 innings, giving up only one hit, no runs and one walk to earn her second win. of the series.
