HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team earned both the Track and Field Athlete of the Week award announced by the Big West Conference Tuesday afternoon.
Freshman
Lilian Turban earned her second weekly award of the season as she took home first place in the high jump clearing the 5'10" mark in the high jump, the same mark that led the NCAA for two weeks earlier in the season. She carried that momentum into her race, where she burned up the track running a 24.03 in the 200m, the quickest since 2005 and the third fastest in UH history.
The Rainbow Wahine return next week, where they will be competing in four different meets across four days.
