HONOLULU – The Big West Conference announced its first round of weekly awards for the outdoor track and field season this afternoon.
 
Freshman jumper Lilian Turban was awarded her first Field Athlete of the Week honor for her performance this past weekend at the Beach Opener.
 
In her outdoor debut, Turban took first place in the women's high jump clearing a height of 5'10". Not only did she win first place in the event, but currently has the highest jump recorded in the NCAA so far this year.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will next be seen at the Hornet Invite in Sacramento, Calif. Competition will run Saturday Mar. 10 all-day.
