HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i indoor track and field team heads to Spokane, Wash. to compete in the MPSF Championships on Friday.
In a season of all-time school performances, the Rainbow Wahine come in carrying 10 top-10 marks in the conference split amongst eight athletes and one team performance.
Sophomore sprinter
Alyssa Mae Antolin shattered the school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.68 at the WSU Open two weeks ago. The Maui native's mark ranks third in the MSPF.
Freshman jumper
Caitlin Simmons holds two top-5 results in the long and triple jump. Simmons long jump of 18' 9.25" at the Air Force invitational ranks second in the conference and fifth in school-history and her triple jump of 38' 2.25" puts her fourth in the MPSF.
Sophomore jumper
Tierra Sydnor joins Simmons in the top-10 of conference long jumpers for her performance at the WSU Open, when she leapt 18' 0.5".
The 4x400 meter relay team comprised of Antolin, sophomore
Sammie Gordon, junior
Madee Harding, and Sydnor ran a 3:58.49 at the WSU Open which ranks seventh in the conference.
Competition begins Friday at 12 p.m. HT with the pole vault from The Podium facility.
