GREENSBORO, N.C. – A pair of Hawai'i men's swimmers will go up against some of the best in the world this weekend, as Justin Lisoway and Ian Venter begin competition at the Toyota U.S. Open on Friday.
 
All events are in long course meters (LCM) format as opposed to the short course yards (SCY) used in most collegiate events. Results for the meet will be available here, while fans can stream the events live here.
 
Lisoway, a senior from De Winton, B.C., will compete in the 100 Breaststroke beginning Friday while Venter, a senior from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, is entered in the 100 Backstroke Friday and 200 Backstroke on Saturday.
 
Lisoway is competing in the U.S. Open for the first time in his career while Venter made the A final of the 100 Back a year ago and placed seventh in 56.48, in addition to coming in first in the B final of the 200 Back with a time of 2:03.50.
