Ramirez Tamayo Competes at NCAA Swimming/Diving Championships

ATLANTA—University of Hawai'i men's diver Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo made his first appearance at the 2026 NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships in the 1-Meter dive at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center on Thursday

Ramirez Tamayo finished 42nd with a total score of 257.20 after six preliminary rounds. His third dive--the reverse 2½ somersaults in the tuck position--earned his top score of the day, 58.5

.

The top eight finishers of the preliminary round advanced to this evening's finals

.

The championships continue on Friday, March 27th, with UH senior sprinter Karol Ostrowski competing in the 100 Backstroke and 50 Freestyle

. Ramirez Tamayo will also compete in his second event of the meet
