HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team placed 15^th at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate following Sunday's final round at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club.
 
The Rainbow Wahine carded their best round of the tournament with a 298 to finish at 902. Vanderbilt captured the team title going away with a 839 total, 20 strokes over runner-up Xavier (859) while New Mexico's Napat Lertsadwattana and Tulane's Carla Bernat shared medalist honors at 10-under 206.
 
UH's top finisher was sophomore Mazumi Umezu who posted a final round 1-over 73 to finish 1-over 217 for the tournament and a tie for 18^th place.
 
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were Hyeonji Kang (225, t-57^th), Wendy Song (229, 68^th), Monica Johnson (239, t-84^th), and Kralyn Salazar (241, 88^th).
 
Hawai'i will next host the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Oct. 24-26 at the Kapolei Golf Course in Kapolei, O'ahu.
