HONOLULU – The top-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team will embark on a on a five-match, 12-day road trip beginning with a two-match series at No. 15 Ball State, Jan. 29 & 31 in Muncie, Ind. The Rainbow Warriors (4-0), which will take with them a 15-match road win streak dating back to 2019, have opened the season with series wins over Loyola-Chicago and Edward Waters. The Cardinals (3-0) have won all three of their matches in straight sets, including last week's win over George Mason.

- UH leads the all-time series 12-3.
- The teams last met in the 2019 Outrigger Resorts Invitational in Honolulu with UH winning in straight sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-18).
- The teams will be meeting for the first time in Muncie, Ind. Previously the teams have met in Honolulu (11 times), San Diego (3 times), and Springfield, Mass. (once), the latter of which in the 1995 NCAA Championship Third Place match.
- UH has a 15-match road win streak dating back to 2019. The Warriors finished 9-0 on the road in the 2021 season and 6-0 in the shortened 2020 campaign.
- Since 2013, UH has a 50-match win streak in the regular season against non-Big West/non-MPSF teams.
- The match-up features the nation's top two teams in hitting percentage (BSU-.461 and UH-.459) and aces (BSU-3.33/set and UH-3.00/set).
- UH setter Jakob Thelle leads the nation in aces with 18 in 11 sets played (1.64/set).
