CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – University of Hawai'i junior
Hana Mirnik was selected to the All-American Scholar Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Mirnik, who completed her first season with the Rainbow Wahine after transferring from Wichita State, was honored for the third consecutive year.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 with a total of 1,432 women's collegiate golfers earning the prestigious recognition in 2020-21.
The Celje, Slovenia native competed in all six tournaments this past season and led the team with a 76.1 scoring average. The highlight of her season was when she carded a school-record 6-under 66 in the final round of the Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz., where she tied for third place overall.
This year marks the third consecutive year and seventh time in the last nine years at least one Rainbow Wahine was named to the All-American Scholar Team. Last season,
Sahara Washington and Malia Ebersberger were named to the list.
