KA'ANAPALI, Maui – University of Hawai'i senior
Kanata Irei carded his second straight round in the 60s in Round 2 of the Kā'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational Saturday at the Royal Kā'anapali Course.
The Okinawa, Japan native shot a 2-under 69 and is tied for 14
th place at 5-under 137 to lead the "B" squad. In his last two Kā'anapali Classic tournaments, the senior has three rounds in the 60s following his opening round 68 on Friday.
Freshman
Tyler Ogawa posted a 1-over 72 and is even par 142 for the tournament and in a tie for 36
th to lead the "A" team.
The "B" team remains in 12
th place with a 578 total while the "A" squad is in 13
th place at 586.
Kansas fired a 22-under 262 and is atop the team standings at 530 followed by Colorado (546), CSUN (548), UConn (549) and Loyola-Md. (553).
