CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – University of Hawai'i golfers
Malia Ebersberger and
Sahara Washington were among a total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers named to to the All-American Scholar Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 among the requirements.
Ebersberger, a senior from Palm Desert, Calif., earned the distinction for the second consecutive year. This season she competed in four tournaments with an 82.4 scoring averge.
Washington, a junior from Universal City, Texas, competed in all seven tournaments and finished second on the team with a 76.1 scoring average with two Top 20 finishes.
Last season, Ebersberger and
Nicha Vorrasanpisut were the first to earn WGCA honors since since Nichole Cruz in 2016.
