The University of Hawai'i water polo team had a stellar run as the Rainbow Wahine ranked as high as third in the country, ended with an 11-2 record, finished undefeated at home and ended the season ranked fourth in the Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Poll.
 
The Bow's started the season winning 11 games in a row, the program's best start in history, and dropped just two games, to No. 1 Stanford and No. 2 UCLA in what would be the team's final two games of the season.
 
Hawai'i scored 20 goals in three different games, recorded a season-high 17-point wins over two different opponents in 2020, and did not allow more than eight goals to a team outside the top five.
 
Sophomore Alba Bonamusa Boix led the team with 37 goals and 18 assists on the year. The sophomore ranked second in the Big West in goals per game (2.85), ranked fifth in assists per game (1.38) and earned conference Player of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 17-23. Bonamusa Boix had a six-goal game, two five-goal games and two-four goal games on the year. In total, Bonamusa Boix netted multiple goals in nine of the team's 13 games and scored in every game.
 
Senior, Samantha Malouff, scored her final goal of her collegiate career while capturing a season-high four points with two goals and two assists against Azusa Pacific on February 19. Malouff tallied the third-most assists on the team (14) and third most steals (10). In two different games, Malouff was prefect in shooting and recorded three two-goal games. In her four years, Malouff totaled 28 goals, 38 assists and 45 steals.
 
Newcomer, sophomore Szonja Kuna had the second-most points on the team 44 points from 28 goals and 18 assists. The sophomore ranked fifth in the Big West in assists per game (1.38), fourth in points per game (3.38) and eighth in steals per game (1.00). Kuna had the team's first 6-goal game of the year when she netted six on eight shots against Cal State East Bay. Kuna led the charge with 14 sprints won on 20 attempts.
 
Sophomore Bridget Layburn started nine of the 10 games played in, played three complete games, finished with a 6-2 record in goal and made 46 saves on the year. Layburn had a 12-save game against Marist.
 
Playing in nine games, starting two of them, Molly DiLalla saved 40 shots and finished with a perfect 4-0 record on the year. DiLalla played the entire game against Azusa Pacific on February 1, recording six saves in the win. DiLalla also had nine-save and eight-save games against Cal State East Bay on January 31 and Azusa Pacific on February 19.
 
Seventeen different Wahine made the Big West Honor Roll list, 10 of which were on the 2020 roster.
