The University of Hawai'i track and field team will head to Seattle, Wash., to compete in the biggest track and field conference championships in the country, with 22 women's teams in the MPSF. The Rainbow Wahine carry three top-20 marks in the conference to the championships with two relay times and a long jump mark.
Junior
Kristen LaCosse tied the school record in the long jump at 5.80 meters at the Ed Jacoby Invite in Nampa, Idaho; the mark ranks 16th in the MPSF. The junior also ranks second in school history in the 60-meter dash when LaCosse ran 7.69 seconds at the Boise State Challenge two weeks ago.
LaCosse also ranks 22nd in the MPSFÂ in the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 8.69. Senior
Calli-Ann Abbott is also in the top 30 in the 60 hurdles at 8.85 seconds.

Hannah Gaskins has a season-best 1.61-meter high jump mark this year.
Competition begins Friday at 10 a.m. HT with the weight throw from Dempsey Indoor on the campus of University of Washington. The pentathlon begins at 10:15 a.m. HT with the 60 hurdles.
