California Roadtrip Includes Tough Invite

The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine look to extend their 8-0 record in a matchup for the second time this season against Azusa Pacific on Wednesday followed by the Barbara Kalbus Invitational over the weekend.
 
The last time the the Rainbow Wahine battled against the Cougars, the Wahine won 17-4. UH held APU scoreless in the final frame while aggressive defense and attacking offense led the Wahine to a large victory.
 
Redshirt junior Lalelei Mataʻafa will continue to lead the team in scoring with sophomores Szonja Kuna, Alba Bonamusa Boix, and Bernadette Doyle close behind. Sophomore Bridgette Layburn carries the team in saves while Kuna and Doyle lead in steals.
 
After, Hawai'i will remain in California and face UC Davis on Friday and two other teams this weekend in the UC Irvine Barbara Kalbus Invitational. The field includes the full top-10 of the Collegiate Water Polo Association coaches poll. Hawai'i will face UC Davis in a non-conference game to open the Invitataional.
