PALM DESERT, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team is in fifth place after the first two rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate Saturday at The Classic Club.
The Rainbow Wahine carded a first round 313 and second round 311 for a 624 total heading into Sunday's third and final round.
Cal Poly (598) holds a five-stroke lead over defending champion UTEP (603). Southern Utah's Chanikan Yongyuan is the individual leader at 1-over 145, one stroke over UTEP's Valeria Mendizabal and Long Beach State's Vanessa Richani.

that 152. Junior
Sahara Washington carded rounds of 82 and 76 for a 158 total and tie for 29
th. Sophomore
Haruka Shintani (83-80) and freshman
Kralyn Salazar (82-81) are tied for 41
st at 163. Salazar was making her UH debut.
The final round is scheduled for a 7:30 a.m. PT.
