The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team is well-represented on the United States Men's Pan American Cup team which is among 12 teams competing in Colima, Mexico.
Current Rainbow Warrior
Colton Cowell and former standouts Kūpono Fey and
Joe Worsley make up the 14-man squad. The team is coached by current UH associate coach
Milan Zarkovic.
Fey, one of two liberos on the team, suited up for the Warriors from 2014-17 and was a member of the U.S. squad that took silver in the 2015 Pan Am Cup. Worsley, who just completed his career at UH (2016-19), also has international experience having been part of the U.S. Junior and Youth National teams. Cowell, a junior from Makawao, Maui, is making his debut with the U.S. National Team.
The U.S. is grouped along with Chile, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala in Group C. The top two ranked pool winners will earn spots to the semifinals while the lowest ranked pool winner along with the second placed teams will play in the quarterfinals.
Argentina is the two-time defending champion while the U.S. has won the event five times.
