Calli-Ann Abbott and the 4x100m relay team of
Martina Latting,
Raion Black,
Natasha Currence and
Britney Price earned All-Big West honors, it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office. The All-Conference team is determined by top three finishes in events at the Big West Track and Field Championships.
A junior from Ontario, Canada, Brenzil earned the silver in the javelin at the Big West Championships to earn All-Big West accolades for the event. Her distance of 49.58m (162'8") was a personal record and the third best in program history. It was also Brenzil's second career Big West medal (2017 – javelin – bronze).
Abbott took home the honor after securing third in the heptathlon at the Big West Championships. Her 5,258 points were the second best ever by a Rainbow Wahine. Throughout the two-day heptathlon competition, Abbott also personal bests in the high jump, shot put, 200m, long jump, javelin and 800m.
The 'Bows shined in the 4x100m with Latting, Black, Currence and Price clocking in at 46.70 for the third-best time in Hawai'i track and field history at the Big West Championships to earn All-Big West accolades.
