Box Score HONOLULU – Freshman 
Maxine Schaap tied a career high with five goals to carry the University of Hawaiʻi women's water polo team to a 15-2 victory over CSUN on Saturday night at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex in Big West action.
 
For Hawaiʻi (13-4, 2-0 BWC), which remains perfect in Big West play, 
Femke Aan and 
Carmen Baringo also tallied three goals apiece to help lead the offensive charge.
 
The 'Bows held a 2-1 lead over the Matadors (13-14, 0-2 BWC) before outscoring the visitors 13-1 over the final three quarters.
 
Schaap scored two of her game-high five goals in the second quarter with Baringo adding two goals in the first half as Hawaiʻi took a 7-1 lead into the intermission. As part of an 11-0 run that started in the second quarter and stretched into the third, five different players scored for UH during the stretch. Included in the run were single goals from 
Ann Inoue and 
Lalelei Mata'afa.
 
UH closed out the fourth quarter with two more goals, one from 
Alba Bonamusa Boix and the other from Baringo to complete the hat trick.
 
Hawaiʻi, which won all four sprints on the day, received solid goaltending from 
Bridget Layburn (four saves in the first half) and 
Molly DiLalla (two saves in the second half).
 
The Rainbow Wahine are back in action for a home game versus Cal at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex on Friday, March 29 at 6 p.m.
