Box Score IRVINE, Calif. The fifth-ranked University of Hawaiʻi women's water polo team ended the Barbara Kalbus Invitational on a high note with a 14-6 victory over 10th-ranked Pacific on Sunday morning.
With the win, the Rainbow Wahine (11-2) claim fifth place up a highly-competitive tournament that featured the top teams from around the country.

Irene Gonzalez tied a career high with six goals to fuel UH's offense.
Alba Bonamusa Boix and
Maxine Schaap also chipped in with two goals apiece.

After holding onto a 7-4 lead at the half, Hawaiʻi distanced itself from Pacific with a big third-quarter. UH put up four goals in the frame while keeping the Tigers off the scoreboard. The Rainbow Wahine were able to cruise in the fourth quarter to the eight-goal victory.
The 'Bows cap the weekend going 3-1 with wins over No. 13 San Jose State, No. 8 Arizona State and No. 10 Pacific.
The next action for UH is March 9 at UC Davis to open Big West play.
