Box Score IRVINE, Calif. - A balanced attack with 10 different players scoring goals lifted the fifth-ranked University of Hawaiʻi women's water polo team to a 13-5 victory over 13th-ranked San Jose State on Friday to kick off the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.
The Rainbow Wahine (9-1) put on a dominating first half performance by scoring seven goals while limiting the Spartans (2-2) to just one through 16 minutes. The 'Bows continued to cruise in the second half, outscoring SJSU 6-4 the rest of the way to pick up the win.

Bernadette Doyle tallied two goals apiece while seven other Rainbow Wahine scored once.
Carmen Baringo, who had one of UH's 13 goals, dished out a team-best four assists on Friday.
In goal for the 'Bows,
Bridget Layburn turned away six shots through three quarters with
Molly DiLalla stopping five shots in the fourth quarter.
Hawaiʻi will now face fourth-ranked Cal in the first game on Saturday of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.
