Women’s Golf Slips To 15th At Silverado Showdown

NAPA, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team dropped down to 15th place following Monday's second round of the Silverado Showdown at the Silverado Resort and Spa.
 
The Rainbow Wahine posted a 308 for a 607 total entering Tuesday's third and final round. Leading the way for UH was sophomore Kaci Masuda and senior Daezsa Tomas, who each shot 76.
 
No. 3 Stanford (559) continues to hold the lead in the team leaderboard while increasing its lead to five strokes over No. 6 UCLA (564) after a second round 12-under 276. No. 33 Colorado (577) is third followed by No. 13 Northwestern (581), No. 28 California and Iowa State (583).
 
Stanford's Andrea Lee (-8) holds a one stroke lead over UCLA's Lilia Vu and Hannah Kim in the individual standings. Vu shot a course record 63 to vault up the leaderboard.
 
Masuda is tied for 42nd at 5-over 149 while Tomas is tied for 59th at 8-over 152. Senior Izzy Leung fired a second round 77 and is 6-over 150, tied for 48th.  Freshman Megan Ratcliffe is tied for 75th at 156 while senior Raquel Ek is tied for 79th at 158.
 
The tournament concludes with the third and final round with an 8:00 a.m. PT shotgun start.
